We here at Tom Crimmins Realty, hope you have a happy and safe St. Patricks Day!

This year on March 5, 2017, Staten Island held its 53rd annual St.Patrick's Day parade. This yearly commemoration of Irish culture brought together about 50,000 spectators, wearing classic green attire and indulging in Irish foods and drinks.

About The Conference House

The Conference House (formerly known at the Billopp House) is a two-story, rubble stone masonry building constructed circa 1680 by Christopher Billopp. Originally rectangular in plan,  the house was extended in the 18th century with the addition of a one-and-a-half story kitchen wing.

The Conference House is named in honor and commemoration of the famous peace conference of 1776.  On September 11, 1776, Continental Congress representatives John Adams, Edward Rutledge, and Benjamin Franklin met with the King’s representative, Lord Richard Howe, at Colonel Christopher Billopp’s home on Staten Island.  The British would not consider independence a negotiable term and the congressional representatives had been authorized only…

Which is why at Tom Crimmins Realty we are firm believers in continuous education as well as in office social events and fundraising. We are big believers in helping our own Staten Island community local charities.

Eight years ago we gathered around our kitchen table with what was for the last time with my Mom.   My Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and we were made aware that these were her final days.  We were all feeling there was nothing anyone could do to lighten the weight of our heavy hearts.  We were hopeless.  The woman who gave us this news was from the American Cancer Society.  Along with this she sat with us and she proceeded to talk with us about HOPE.  Knowing that nothing would ever be the same again she helped us to trust that we weren’t alone. This is just one of the many ways the American Cancer Society gives strength for us to FIGHT.  Saving lives from cancer starts with one team, one participant and one dollar at a time.  Together we can…
