Shauna Small was diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases over a decade ago and has since be seeking relief through medicine and diet adjustments.

"I have realized that people need to be educated about what it really means to be healthy. Diet changes everything and people need to understand that they must communicate with their doctors and ask questions before filling a prescription because many times there are natural alternatives," she said.

Small said she feels Staten Island lacks enough wellness facilities for the population.

Juices and smoothie bar will be expected in April and meditation classes will be offered using a holistic approach by Small.

Stop by Relax Be Healthy at 844 Castleton Avenue in West Brighton, Staten Island; also check out the variety of essential oils, herbs, and herbal teas that can also be customized to a customer's needs.
