Douglas Patterson and Elizabeth Habeeb are all smiles after engagement at Westerleigh Park.

On Saturday, December 19th, Westerleigh Park held its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The night was filled with carolers, hot chocolate and the big man himself, Santa. Santa came into Westerleigh Park in style on a firetruck and distributed presents to all children. There was a good turn out and fun was had by all.

PS 29 Chorus sang beautifully and Port Richmond High School Band played wonderfully, Tom Crimmins Realty sponsored with events and gave out gift bags for the holidays. 

A very special congratulations to Douglas Patterson and Elizabeth Habeeb on their Christmas engagement! We wish you the best of luck in your future together.

Summer may seem over and the kids are back to school, but who said the fun had to stop? Saturday, September 20th, Westerleigh Park will host the 7th Annual Westerleigh Folk Festival, also known as WestFest.

This year a total of 15 music acts of all different genres will take three stages, and an art exhibit by the South Shore Artists Group will be on display. For the kiddies - there will be face painting, pony rides and balloons. WestFest 2014 will be this Saturday in Westerleigh Park from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Picture this: Feeling the wind blow, rustling the leaves on the sky-high trees. No obscene traffic or horrendous car horns whaling over the chirping of birds. Walking a short distance to a quiet place along freshly cut green grass and a variety of colorful flowers. 

Although a relatively small square within a big island, Westerleigh Park plays a large role in its community as the site of countless school performances, field trips, dance lessons, art exhibits, seasonal festivals, and holiday performances. (x)
