Who Am I?

Hey, everyone! My name is Susan Lin and I am one of the blog writers here at Tom Crimmins Realty. I am currently a student of Brooklyn High School of the Arts and will be graduating from the school next year. I still have no clue what college and major I want to do but I hope to do either art, designing, technology and accountingI hope you are pleased with what you read about Staten Island because some of it is actually written by me! I really hope you visit the island too. I just moved into Staten Island this summer and I love it so far. The island is very peaceful and the people here are very nice.

My Experience?

I was introduced to Tom Crimmins Realty through Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). When I was first asked to work here as an office assistant, I thought that I would do a lot of paperwork and organizing drawers. I also assumed it would be a boring job where I just look at papers after papers. However, when I stepped foot into this place for the first time, people were doing working on computers with smiles on their face. This made me happy since I love doing work on computers and the internet.

As I started working, I learned that it was far from boring like I anticipated it to be. The work was actually really interesting; I had the opportunity to write two or more blogs a day, which was surprisingly more manageable than i anticipated. I learned a lot about Staten Island when researching and writing blogs which helped because I am new here to Staten Island, and it turned out to not be as boring a place like what I was told by some of my peers; It has a lot of amazing places with beautiful scenery, one of which which i found perfect to relax at was Clove Lakes Park. I wrote blogs about great places such as restaurants, schools, the Staten Island mall, etc.

To sum it up, this job was a great learning experience and I can see how a real estate agents work in the industry. I even met the owners of Tom Crimmins Realty themselves. They were cheerful and helped out the interns if they needed anything. If Tom or Suzanne Crimmins aren't there, the staffs here are also here to help us out. Never once did I feel bored thanks other interns I'm working with. The interns here are very kind and talented . Beside from learning about Staten Island from blogs, I learned a lot from them too!

It was a great opportunity to work here and I consider myself very thankful!
