On Saturday June 13, 2015 from Noon to Midnight at Michael J. Petrides School 715 Ocean Terrace, Staten Island, NY Tom & Sue Crimmins are sponsoring our team “TOM’S TOP PICKS” for the American Cancer Society's Staten Island Community Relay for Life.
Cancer patients receive the full value of the money raised in their area if they take advantage of the American Cancer Society's offerings. The society provides many services to cancer patients, including help with transportation and lodging and equipment such as hospital beds or walkers. For those going through chemotherapy, the group provides wigs, cosmetology products, moisturizers and makeup to help them feel better and look better. Trained volunteers also come and help those who are going through a lumpectomy or a mastectomy. The society also offers a scholarship program for cancer survivors who are going to college. These are just a couple of the ways we in turn can help our neighbors.
CELEBRATE the lives of people who have battled cancer, REMEMBER loved ones lost and FIGHT back against the disease. Saving lives from cancer starts with one team, one participant and one dollar at a time.
