History of South Beach
Once a popular beach vacation destination, South Beach was packed with visitors during the summer who came to the shore not only for the invigorating sea air, but to spend time at the amusement parks, arcades, and fishing piers. The last of the old South Beach amusement parks closed in 2006, but a new weekend amusement park will be opening up during the summer of 2014, which will only serve to increase South Beach's already growing popularity.
