Most of Old Town's businesses are located along Hylan Boulevard and Richmond Road. Old Town is just on the other side of Ocean Breeze Park from the FDR Boardwalk, close to Brady's Pond and Grasmere Lake in Grasmere, and less than 2 miles from the Richmond County Country Club and golf course. There are several prestigious private schools near Old Town as well as public schools in Old Town, Arrochar, and Grasmere. The Staten Island University Hospital is located just south of Old Town in South Beach.

Transportation in Old Town

It takes only a few minutes to reach the Staten Island Expressway and the Verrazano Bridge from the heart of Old Town. The St. George Ferry Terminal is less than 15 minutes to the north, accessible via Richmond Road. However, if you prefer to utilize public transportation in order to commute for work, the Staten Island Railway serves the Old Town station and also makes stops at nearby Grasmere and Dongan Hills stations. Express buses to midtown Manhattan and local buses make stops along Hylan Boulevard and Richmond Road.
