When we talk about "estate" in the context of real estate, we are specifically referring to the property and land owned by an individual or entity. Types of Estates in Real Estate

- Fee Simple Estate: This is the most comprehensive form of property ownership. When you have a fee simple estate, you have absolute ownership of the property, and you can do with it as you please, within the bounds of the law. - Joint Tenancy: Joint tenancy is a form of property ownership where two or more individuals share equal ownership rights. If one owner passes away, their share automatically transfers to the surviving owner(s). It's a common arrangement for married couples and business partners.
- Tenancy in Common: In contrast to joint tenancy, tenancy in common allows for unequal ownership shares. Each owner can have a distinct percentage of ownership, and their shares can be passed on to heirs upon their death.
