Numerous businesses are located throughout the neighborhood, but the majority of retail amenities and services are situated on Richmond Avenue, Forest Avenue, and South Avenue.

Transportation in Grasmere

It's easy to access both public transportation as well as major roadways from Grasmere. With the Staten Island Expressway serving as the neighborhood's northern border, drivers can access the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in just a matter of minutes. They can also take the Expressway to the bridges to New Jersey. If drivers prefer to take the ferry to Brooklyn, the St. George Ferry Terminal is less than 10 minutes away. The Staten Island Railway stops at the Grasmere station, and the Old Town station is just south of Grasmere. Local and express buses serve the area via Hylan Boulevard, Clove Road, and Steuben Street.
