Whether you live on Staten Island or are willing to take the ferry down for the weekend, there are a bunch of activities to do on the weekends with friends and family or even alone.

One activity that can be done on the weekend is visiting the Staten Island Museum. This museum contains modern art and natural history exhibits all through this physicality. The Staten Island Museum is the only public interest museum still operating in New York City and the oldest cultural institution on Staten Island. The Staten Island Museum was established in 1881 by fourteen of the earliest "environmental activists" in New York City and is home to artifacts and specimens dating from prehistoric to modern times. The Staten Island Museum is located on the North Shore in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden at 1000 Richmond Terrace.

If you decide to visit the museum, you can complete your weekend adventure with exploring the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden. At 1000 Richmond Terrace, it contains 28 buildings with lots of places to explore. On Staten Island in New York City, Sailors' Snug Harbor, often referred to as Sailors Snug Harbor and colloquially as Snug Harbor, is a group of historically notable 19th-century structures. On Staten Island's North Shore near New Brighton beside the Kill Van Kull, the structures are situated in an 83-acre park.

Another activity to explore on a weekend in Staten Island is the Seaside Wildlife Nature Park. This park is about 20 acres and has many things to do while there. This park includes a playground, a lighthouse, and a shipwreck. Historic Richmond Town is a great weekend activity. This place allows you to experience what Staten Island was like back in the 1950s by exploring the different buildings and the acres of land. Go enjoy the beauties that Staten Island has to offer.
