All about the Staten Island Neighborhood Manor Heights:

Staten Island is broken up into three different community districts which are: North Shore, Mid-Island, and South Shore.
Today we will be breaking down all the history about the Staten Island neighborhood, Manor Heights. This neighborhood is home to the North Shore and to the zip code 10314. Heights refers to the area's abrupt elevation inside its bounds, while Manor derives from the neighborhood's proximity to Manor Road, a significant road on Staten Island's North Shore. The Staten Island Expressway to the south, Brielle Avenue to the north, Manor Road to the west, and Bradley Avenue to the east are the neighborhood's approximate boundaries. Locally, the area is occasionally seen as a fusion of Staten Island's Willowbrook, Meiers Corners, and Todt Hill neighborhoods.
The population of Staten Island, which was growing swiftly as a result of the opening of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge among other things, soon filled the surrounding area. One-family homes that are quite modest in size make up the neighborhood. In order to serve the island's expanding population, Susan E. Wagner High School was established in Manor Heights in 1968. Later, on a plot of property next to the high school, the Sisters of Charity constructed a complex of low-income senior housing. Additionally, Public School 54, which is situated on Willowbrook Road, is a part of Manor Heights.
Manor Heights is served by the S54, S57, S61, S91 as the local buses. For the express buses, SIM31, SIM32 and SIM33 also serve the neighborhood.
As you may see, Staten Island exudes so much history that is still honored throughout our neighborhoods. Manor Heights is home to many people from Staten Island.
